Jess Fleming
Jess is the Co-Owner of Just Add Yoga, a Yoga + Booze event company, where yoga and booze are not mutually exclusive. As an instructor, Jess has a special interest in the basic foundations of movement. She lays down a solid foundation for students in a clear, approachable way. This allows for an environment of humor and fun, while also being equal parts challenging, educational, and grounded.
Jess completed her teacher training at Alchemy of Yoga with Silvia Mordini and Casey Petersen and teaches an all levels vinyasa flow class with restorative elements. Jess finds inspiration in movement - both professionally and personally. With a degree in Kinesiology and a background as both a collegiate athlete and collegiate strength coach - movement and wellness have been a huge part of Jess’ life for over the last 16 years. She believes that movement is best used as a tool.
Dawn Hood
Dawn has a passion for everything fitness. She loves that her job allows her to share this devotion with friends, family, and students. This east coast transplant has a clear and upfront style of teaching. When you attend one of her classes, you can expect a challenging flow with a few longer holds sprinkled in. Her energetic and encouraging nature is contagious.
When Dawn says she has a passion for fitness, she’s not joking around! Her certifications and regular activities reflect that. Outside the gym or studio, her favorite things to do include running, skiing, mountain biking, hiking, cycling, paddle boarding and climbing. While Dawn may be from Baltimore, you’d think she was a PNW native with these interests. While Yoga takes the lead as her favorite thing to teach, she is also certified as a personal trainer, group exercise and spin instructor, TRX suspension trainer and barre.
More About Just Add Yoga
The goal of Just Add Yoga is to get people moving, share the love of Yoga and the fun of having a drink together. Owners Dawn Hood and Jessica Fleming became fast friends during their Yoga teacher training. Yoga had such a positive effect on their lives they knew they had to share it.
Just Add Yoga’s mission is to show that Yoga doesn’t have to be so serious. You don’t have to be able to do the splits or stand on your head. You don’t even have to be able to touch your toes (cough…cough… all you runner friends). The gals from Just Add Yoga are excited to get to know the community through movement and celebrate new friendships and old with a drink! To learn more about just add go to www.justaddyogaevents.
