

Class Details
This spring challenge your body and mind with a combination of Yoga, Strength and Surfing while exploring the concept of work, rest, and play. Mornings will begin with Mike leading a 90-minute functional movement class focusing on strength, aerobic conditioning and agility. Followed by afternoons with local surf instructor Isreal preciado assisting you as you learn to ride the waves of Sayulita Bay. You will wrap up the day with Andrea leading an evening yoga class that will mix core strengthening, Pilates, and restorative yoga providing the perfect balance to end your day of fun in the sun. About Andrea
Andrea offers challenging yet restorative vinyasa flow classes suited for all. Her interests in the nature of inter-being and her passions for the ocean, surfing, nature, and all things that flow led her naturally to the art and science of yoga. She has spent her life not only pursuing, but living her passions near the edge of the shore and in the sea, spending endless hours transfixed in the wonder, study and experience of nature and it's fluid rhythm. She uses these experiences to create fun and dynamic classes. Through yoga she hopes to promote peace, love, unity and well-being by helping others return to the source of all that they are. Andrea has been practicing and teaching yoga and Pilates internationally and in the US for the last ten years. She has had the opportunity to study, and practice under numerous powerful teachers including Mark Whitwell, Shiva Rea, Saul David Raye, Scott Blossom, Bryan Kest, Robert Svoboda, and Dharma Mittra. Andrea has a strong background in Ayurveda, nutrition, and the healing arts, as well as degrees in biology and anthropology from UC San Diego. A master's degree in Asian Studies from the University of Hawai'i. Along with travels and intense academic study of indigenous peoples, ecology, and the healing arts in the US, Mexico, and Asia, Andrea is a certified and practicing Thai Yoga Massage Therapist through Saul David Raye's Ritam School of Healing, is a certified Stott Pilates instructor, and holds a professional degree in exercise science and fitness through UC San Diego. www.andreaarriaga.com
About Mike
Mike is a Seattle based personal trainer certified through the American College of Sports Medicine. With seven years training experience, Mike has developed a highly effective coaching style making him very popular among those interested in improving their overall fitness and reaching specific training goals. His wide-range of expertise includes weight loss, strength training, cardiovascular conditioning, rehab, and sports specific performance training. Having the opportunity to work with various clients and groups over the years, Mike understands that there is no set path to improving ones fitness level. He believes that most gains and growth occur when an individuals program is flexible allowing him or her to adapt to life’s obstacles. Mike recognizes that the ability to balance work, rest and play is one component of a successful program. The other is keeping it fun! Mike’s philosophy is that with levity and playfulness, learning becomes natural, progress happens faster, and short-lived fitness goals turn to life-long changes. About Israel
Israel grew up surfing the many point breaks in and around Sayulita. He has work at the Four Seasons Resort as a surf instructor and has also guided tours throughout Mexico's extensive coastline. He use to compete with the Nayarit Surf Team and participated in the World Longboard Championships in Baja, Mexico. These days he works giving private lessons.
