Back by popular demand, Matt Pesendian returns to Sayulita for his third consecutive Via Yoga retreat. Please join us for this six night Yoga & Surf vacation in Sayulita Mexico (located 45 minutes North of Puerto Vallarta) and escape the hectic pace of everyday life. Relax. Hear yourself think. Challenge your body with yoga, daily meditations—even surfing. And soak up some well-deserved Mexican sunshine. This week will be an eclectic mix of dynamic vinyasa yoga, exhilarating surfing and gentle qigong (Chinese yoga). Vinyasa in the morning and qigong in the late afternoon will focus on awakening and strengthening your core and will prepare you to paddle your board out to ride the Sayulita waves. Matt has studied many styles of yoga for 18 years, surfed for 30+ years and is highly qualified to share with you why yoga and surfing are perfect complementary activities. In addition, Matt is a licensed acupuncturist and will be available for consultations and treatments. You will be sent home feeling stronger than ever before and will have learned some incredible new styles of yoga and meditation practices.

About Matt

Matt Pesendian, L.Ac., has been practicing and studying the art of Hatha yoga and meditation for 20 years, dedicating his studies to the teachings of T. Krishnamacharya and Zhander Remete, the founder of Shadow Yoga. Matt has also practiced many different forms of Chinese yoga, also known as 'Qigong', for the last eleven years. He received his Master's degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine for Emperor's College of Traditional Oriental Medicine and is Nationally Board Certified in Acupuncture. He is currently developing a Medical Qigong program at the Cancer Center of Santa Barbara and teaches Shadow Yoga workshops internationally. Learn more about Matt at www.bodhimanda.com.

About Israel

Israel grew up surfing the many point breaks in and around Sayulita. He has work at the Four Seasons Resort as a surf instructor and has also guided tours throughout Mexico's extensive coastline. He use to compete with the Nayarit Surf Team and participated in the World Longboard Championships in Baja, Mexico. These days he works giving private lessons.
