Join Alex and Beth on a retreat that will take you on a full-spectrum journey of being from body, through mind, to spirit on land and water. Alex and Beth blend The Epic Workout® and Yin Yoga, presenting Yoga philosophy and asana, functional & creative movement, strength & conditioning, restoration & rejuvenation, breath & energy in a way that is both mindful and worldly. Your experience will create strength, develop effortless movement, and deepen awareness of who and what you are, how you move, and why you are here. Each day will begin and end in an open-aired palapa style studio with sweeping ocean views. Morning classes will be strong and active while evening classes will wind us down under the influence of a more restorative approach. Time between classes will be spent in the stunning blue ocean, mastering your surf skills under the careful instruction of local surf experts.

About Alex

Alex Iglecia grew up in Southern California and is an experienced body-mind coach, trainer, teacher and innovator focusing on the intersection of conscious movement, transformative practices, Yoga, and effective action in a purpose-filled life. The founding of The Epic Workout has been both an exploration and contribution to our efforts to live life fully.

Alex was one of the first west-coast advanced instructors under martial art pioneer Robert Bussey in 1992 and has been teaching and practicing movement and philosophical systems ever since. Yoga absolutely captured Alex, whose background includes teaching and changes instilled by teachers including Aaron Cantor, Jill Miller, Glenn Black, David Belz and Adam Ballanger.

Alex’s teaching draw from his personal experience in the wide field of transformative practices. As a former engineer and visual designer, Alex brings a strong big picture/focused detail views to his teaching. As both a theorist and a deeply embodied practitioner and leads classes that weave variety, depth, education and experience. You will find his teaching engaging and encouraging as you breath, grow, learn and share with each other with heart and balance.
